Welluna
About Welluna
We built this because we needed it - and it didn't exist.
Before Welluna was an app, it was a spreadsheet, a shoebox of pharmacy printouts, and a phone that never seemed to stop buzzing at the worst possible hour.
For years, our founder helped care for both parents through early-onset dementia - a diagnosis that doesn't wait for anyone to be ready. Medications changed. Doctors changed. Appointments piled up faster than anyone could track them by memory alone. And the work of caring for two parents didn't fall on one person - it fell across a family, scattered over different states and different time zones, trying to make decisions together over group texts sent at 11pm and calls picked up between meetings.
Everyone was doing their best. Nobody had the full picture. Something as simple as "did Dad take his afternoon medication" could turn into three phone calls and a guess.
There were nights when the hardest part wasn't the caregiving itself - it was the quiet after. Sitting with the question of how did I get here, and what am I supposed to do now - with no manual, no single place to turn, and no one else who could just take it off your plate.
Welluna started as an attempt to solve that for one family. It's built from that experience - not from a boardroom, and not from a checklist of what a caregiving app is "supposed" to have, but from actually living the problem: the medication timelines, the appointment chaos, the sibling coordination, the exhaustion of being the one who remembers everything.
We're still building it - with you.
Welluna isn't finished, and we don't think it ever really will be. Caregiving looks different for every family, and the tool that helps should keep learning from the people using it. Every feature we've shipped so far has come from someone telling us what they actually needed - and that's how we intend to keep building: guided by the caregivers, families, and communities who trust us with something this personal.
If you're in it right now - the coordinating, the remembering, the quiet 2am moments - we built this for you. And we'd love to hear what would make it better.
